Alloy and Specifications
Grand Shine is a prime source for aluminium sheet and coil products to suit a broad range of manufacturing, transportation and industrial applications. As having a 20 years’ experience of manufacturing aluminium sheet and coil, we supply an array of gauges, widths, finishes and alloy for every raw material requirement. Most 1***, 3*** and 5*** series alloys used in the building products industry are available. These alloys are ideal for roll-forming, stamping and fabricating applications. Grand Shine offers 1050, 1100, 3003, 3105 5005, 5052, 5083 alloys aluminium sheet and coil as customer’s requirement. As offer the above alloys aluminium sheet and coil, we provide the below tempers: O, H12-H14-H18-H19/H22-H24-H26/H32-H34, the thickness from 0.12-6mm,the width from 20-1350mm.
Alloys
1050/1100 – Commercially pure aluminium, highly resistant to chemical attack and weathering. Easily worked and welded, but the lowest strength aluminium. Excellent for chemical processing equipment and other uses where product purity is important, and for metal pressings of all types where ductility is critical. As the widest range of sheet, 1050/1100 aluminium sheet and coil are commonly used in chemical processing equipments, light reflectors, and jewelries.
3003/3105 – Stronger than 1100 aluminium sheet and coil with same good formability. Fine corrosion resistance and weldability. Most of stampings, spun and drawn parts, mail boxes, cabinets, tanks, and fan blades, chemical equipments, brazing applications, van bodies and cryogenic uses are made of 3003/3105 aluminium sheet and coil . If you are looking for higher strength, consider 5052 aluminium sheet and coil.
5005 – Specified for anodised applications to match with 6063 extrusions. Anodised coating is clearer and lighter than for 3003/3105 aluminium sheet and coil in severe drawing applications. 5005 aluminium sheet and coils are widely uses in decorative, architectural and consumer products.
5052 – Forms readily in the intermediate tempers. Corrosion resistance is very good as is weldability. 5052 aluminium sheet and coil are much better salt water corrosion resistance than alloy 1100 aluminium sheet and coil.5052 aluminium sheet and coil are proverbially used for pressure vessels, tanks, fittings or applications involving forming or welding where strength higher than 3003/3105 aluminium sheet and coil are needed, common applications include electronic chassis, tanks, pressure vessels, houseboat hulls, pontoon boats and van bodies.
5083 – Stronger than either of the above alloys. 5083 aluminium sheet and coil show excellent weldability and corrosion resistance. For high strength welded applications with outstanding joint strength, 5083 aluminium sheet and coil are used for rail wagons, marine components, bridges, stationary cryogenic vessels and overhead cranes.

Temper
The temper of aluminum sheet and coil is specified with a 4 digit alloy followed by a temper designation. For example, 5052-H32 indicates an aluminum/magnesium alloy that has been strain hardened and stabilized by low temperature heating and is 1/4 hard.
-H |
Strain hardened (cold worked) with or without thermal treatment. |
-H1 |
Strain hardened without thermal treatment. |
-H2 |
Strain hardened and partially annealed. |
-H3 |
Strain hardened and stabilized by low temperature heating. |
2nd Digit |
A second digit denotes the degree of hardness. |
-O |
Full Soft (annealed). |
